RoboRhythms covers AI companion apps, chatbots and the tools people use alongside them. This page explains how we pick topics, where our information comes from, and what we do when we get something wrong.

How we choose what to cover

Most of our articles start with a question readers keep asking or a problem people keep running into with these apps. When lots of people are stuck on the same error, or weighing up the same two products, we write about it.

We also cover changes that affect people who already use these apps, such as price changes, new content rules and features being added or removed.

Where our information comes from

We go to primary sources first: the company’s own pricing pages, help centre, policies, changelogs and app store listings. Where a point comes from user reports instead of the company, the article says so.

Prices and plan limits in this niche change often. We check them against the official page when we write or update an article, and we treat anything we cannot confirm as unconfirmed.

What our reviews look at

Reviews and comparisons focus on what readers ask about most: what the free tier allows, what a paid plan unlocks, how well characters hold memory and personality, how strict the content filters are, and how easy it is to cancel.

Privacy and data handling get their own attention, because these apps often hold very personal conversations. If a company’s policy is vague on something that matters, we point that out.

Checks before an article goes live

Every article goes through a review pass before publication. It covers facts against their sources, prices, links and readability.

A claim that fails that check is either corrected, removed, or clearly labelled as unverified.

Keeping articles current

Published articles are not left to go stale. We revisit them when prices, features or policies change, and rewrite sections that no longer match how the product works.

Affiliate links and independence

Some links on RoboRhythms earn us a commission if you sign up or buy. You pay the same price either way, and our affiliate disclosure explains how this works.

Sensitive topics

Some articles touch on loneliness, relationships or mental health. They are written for general information and are no substitute for advice from a qualified professional.

If you are struggling, please reach out to a doctor, a counsellor or your local crisis line.

Corrections

If you spot a mistake, send us the article link and what looks wrong through our contact page. We check every report and fix confirmed errors in the article itself.
