The generator writes in real scenes with dialogue, not a plot summary. Every story ends on a moment that sets up the next part, and the continue button picks up from exactly there. Add a direction like “the power goes out” or let the story choose.
How to use the AI story generator
1. Start with an idea or nothing at all. One sentence is plenty. Leave the box empty and the generator invents a premise that fits your genre and tone.
2. Pick genre, trope, tone and point of view. There are 14 genres, including a gentle bedtime story mode for kids, plus 20 tropes from chosen one to heist.
3. Choose a length and a rating. Short runs about 450 words, medium about 900. Ratings run from General to Mature, and mature stories stay non-explicit.
4. Continue, steer and copy. Each new scene keeps the same voice and tense. Copy the finished story in one click.
A real example
Settings: Mystery, Suspenseful, First person, Medium, idea box left empty. The generator came back with “The Woman in the Waiting Room”, which opens like this:
The security guard wouldn’t meet my eyes, which meant something had gone wrong.
I’d been coming to Riverside Hospital every Tuesday for six months, and Marcus always greeted me with a nod and a comment about the weather. Today he stared at his clipboard like it contained the secrets of the universe.
The full first part ran about 940 words and took around 16 seconds to write.
Story ideas to try
| Genre | Paste this into the idea box |
|---|---|
| Fantasy | A blacksmith’s apprentice forges a sword that refuses to be used for anything but defending strangers. |
| Sci-Fi | The last maintenance worker on a generation ship discovers the passengers were never asleep. |
| Mystery | A lighthouse keeper finds a letter addressed to her, dated fifty years in the future. |
| Horror | Every night at 3:12 the baby monitor picks up a voice reading bedtime stories. |
| Romance | Two rival food truck owners are forced to share one parking spot for a summer festival. |
| Comedy | A wizard’s spell to make him more charming only works on houseplants. |
| Bedtime story for kids | A small cloud is afraid of thunder and goes looking for a quieter sky. |
What the generator will and will not write
It writes original fiction across every genre in the list, from cozy to dark. Mature stories can include violence, strong language and adult themes, while intimate scenes fade to black.
It will not write sexual content involving anyone under 18, explicit sexual description, or passages copied from published books and song lyrics. Requests that cross those lines get the closest story that stays inside them.
Tips for better AI stories
Start with a situation, not a theme. “A thief returns stolen jewelry and gets caught doing it” gives the writer a scene. “A story about redemption” gives it nothing to stand on.
Name your characters. A name and one trait, such as “Mara, a retired thief who hates boats”, makes the dialogue noticeably sharper.
Steer with short directions. When you continue, a five-word nudge works better than a paragraph of instructions, because the story keeps its own momentum.
