Coins land at 2pm EST on your renewal date. The annual plan’s extra 1,000 coins arrive once, at signup, not every year.
I keep coming back to the gap between those two prices. Paying monthly costs $239.88 over a year against $119.88 annually, so the monthly plan carries a 100% premium for the privilege of leaving early.
What Can You Do With 1,000 Dreamcoins in a Month?
Not much, once you price the features people subscribe for. At OurDream’s published rates, 1,000 dreamcoins buys about 20 minutes of voice calls, or 50 seconds of standard video, or 200 in-chat images.
The per-action prices come from OurDream’s own coin guide. Text chat on the three standard models is genuinely free for subscribers at 0 coins. Everything else meters.

A single 60-second clip costs 1,200 coins against a monthly allowance of 1,000. The platform’s headline feature cannot be run once at full length on a full month’s credit.

After: one 20-minute voice call, or eight 5-second video clips, or one character’s community pack, and then you are buying top-ups until your renewal date.

What Happens to Your Coins and Images When You Cancel?
Your images, videos and paid community packs blur when the subscription lapses. What happens to unused coins depends on which OurDream help page you read, because three of them disagree.
Start with the part every page agrees on. When a subscription expires, OurDream says “images and videos will be blocked. This includes any community packs.”
Those packs cost up to 1,000 coins each, so a lapsed subscription locks media you already paid for.
The coin question is messier. Read them in order:
- The subscription-expiry page says plainly: “Coins do not expire!”
- The cancellation page says unused coins “remain in your account until billing period ends,” and that reactivating “creates a new subscription” where “any previous unused coins are not restored.”

Those cannot all be true at once, and the difference is real money. A subscriber reading page one would expect a coin balance to survive a pause. Page two says it does not survive reactivation.
My advice is to spend the balance down before you cancel rather than trusting any of the three. A vendor that contradicts itself three ways on the disposal of prepaid currency has not decided the policy, and you do not want to be the test case.
Is OurDream AI Safe and Who Is Dream Studio USA?
OurDream AI is a legitimate operation with unusually thorough safety documentation. The operator is Dream Studio USA, Inc., a Delaware corporation, and the main privacy catch is that public-character images you generate become visible to everyone.
The security basics check out. The privacy policy, last modified 26 August 2026, states that data is encrypted at rest and in transit using AES and TLS 1.3, on hosting certified to SOC 1 Type 2 and SOC 2 Type 2, with GDPR and PCI DSS 4.0 compliance.
Age checks run through Go.cam, an independent provider certified by the German KJM and the British ACC. OurDream never receives the ID document, selfie or liveness video, only a pass or fail signal. Users in the United Kingdom and Australia must complete full identity verification regardless of plan.
Two things deserve more attention than they get, and the first one caught me off guard. Images you generate of a public character are added automatically to that character’s public pack, visible to all users, with your identifying metadata stripped. Generations tied to private and unlisted characters stay private.
The second is a retention carve-out buried in the privacy policy. If a public character you created becomes popular enough, OurDream reserves the right to keep it active “even if you otherwise delete your data and your account,” and advises users not to put personal information into public character descriptions.
Worth knowing before you sign anything: the terms include binding individual arbitration and a class-action waiver, with an opt-out. The refund policy also names two entities the other documents do not, Dream Studio LLC and Tektopia Ltd, and it was last modified 9 March 2026, five months staler than the terms it sits beside.
